Adara Koivula specializes in Scientific Illustration with a Graduate Certificate from the Science Illustration Program at California State University, Monterey Bay and a BFA in Illustration from Laguna College of Art and Design. She loves work that focuses on educational outreach whether through public exhibits, academic publications, or eye-catching infographics and has worked with institutions including Caltech and Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District.

 

Adara also has a soft spot for wildlife and habitat conservation efforts. She is continually inspired by children's books, science fiction, and fantasy stories which push her to include more storytelling in her illustrations.
